The Solar Vehicle Warning Sentinel primarily operates on a sensing and alert mechanism. Once a vehicle approaches the warning zone in front of the system, the "SLOW" sign display on the main road (indicating vehicles from the right) lights up, while simultaneously sending a signal via wireless technology to the "STOP" sign display on the auxiliary road (indicating vehicles from the left), which also illuminates and activates a voice broadcast to alert vehicles and pedestrians in the area. When the vehicle passes through the intersection and no other vehicles are detected nearby, the alert functions of both the main and auxiliary road devices cease, and the vehicle warning system enters a dormant state. At this point, pedestrians can safely cross the road.
